Laura Zanfes, CNP (she/her) is a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Laura has extensive clinical experience in a variety of settings, including the acute hospital, intensive care, inpatient hospice, Long Term Acute Care, and rehab facilities. She completed her clinical training in community psychiatry, gaining experience across the lifespan in emergency psychiatric observation, inpatient psychiatry, consult-liaison, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings.
Laura strives to work in partnership with her patients (and when appropriate, their families) to develop a personalized plan of care, focusing on optimizing lifestyle and chronic health conditions, alongside psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy, employing CBT, humanistic, and solution-focused principles. She emphasizes psychoeducation for patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options and seeks to work collaboratively with patients’ other medical providers/ community resources to support each patient in reaching their full potential/ highest quality of life.
Laura was born and raised on Cape Cod and is passionate about providing high-quality community care close to home. She provides in-person and telehealth services to patients across the lifespan.
