Have you ever felt as though you were in quicksand and had no way to get out? Or perhaps a difficult game of tug of war with your emotions and decision making? Therapy is one method to explore how thoughts, feelings and behaviors are intertwined and how they influence our daily lives, including relationships and choices. Using a strengths-based approach and with an objective view, my approach to therapy is empathetic, compassionate and client-focused. Maybe you just need someone who will listen to you? Utilizing a “small mouth and big ears” approach has been deemed helpful, therapeutic, and empowering in a client-therapist relationship.

I have been in the field of social work for 10 years, and have enjoyed working with children, adolescents, and young adults who may suffer from anxiety, depression, school-related issues, mood disorder and am most experienced with treating clients suffering from eating disorders.  An important focus, in working with clients of all ages, is to help them develop and implement healthy coping skills, self-esteem/building mastery, recognize negative thoughts and learn to challenge and reframe. I strongly believe in collaboration with other necessary providers and most important – transparency.
