Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Wellesley, MA
With my years working in the medical setting and with emergency services, I am adept at helping children and adolescents (ages 6-early 20’s) work through life’s unexpected moments such as medical issues and the death or impending death of loved ones. Additionally, helping young people learn and practice the skills to manage their anxiety, mood disorders, and chaotic life events along with gender identity issues is something I enjoy doing.
Children/teens/young adults being referred for anxiety, depression, struggling socially at school, having trouble adjusting to college, who are struggling to accept a medical condition or have a family member that is ill or dying are all examples of clients I would be interested in working with. My focus would be to help them develop and practice healthy coping skills, recognize and reframe/challenge negative thoughts, self-esteem building when necessary, and psychosocial education/family education when appropriate.
