Jess received her undergraduate degree from Tufts University and obtained her MSW from Simmons College in clinical social work. She completed post-graduate training at The Institute for Existential-Psychoanalytic Therapy. For 9 years, Jess worked at North Charles Inc. in affiliation with Harvard School of Psychiatry where she engaged with clients in long-term therapy. Jess has experience working with clients who suffer from a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, transitional issues, grief/loss, parenting, and relationship difficulties.
She also has particular expertise in working with individuals who struggle with substance abuse and other addictive disorders. Jess works with all adults and especially enjoys working with college students, young adults, and new parents. Her clinical style is supportive, collaborative, interactive, and client-centered. She believes that clients are resilient and have the capacity to change the course of their lives. Her clients, many of whom have been with her for extended treatment, find Jess to be a compassionate, creative, and constructive therapist.
