Kelly Sellers is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Kelly received her Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College and her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Whitman College. She has worked in outpatient community mental health and provides diagnostic evaluation, medication management and brief psychotherapeutic intervention to adults struggling with mood disorders, ADHD, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder, among others. Kelly has a particular interest in working with clients during pregnancy and postpartum.
Kelly is passionate about providing comprehensive, evidence-based and compassionate care that includes a personalized plan reached through shared decision-making with clients. She believes that each person knows their own unique challenges and strengths best, and seeks to support and empower clients to reach their goals in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. She also believes strongly in understanding the “whole picture” and enjoys spending time getting to know clients and the biological, social, psychological and spiritual context of their lives. This integrative view informs her practice, which typically incorporates a combination of medication management, supportive psychotherapy and lifestyle interventions to address the many factors affecting mental health.
