Nancy Skoler, LICSW (she/her/hers)

I earned my master’s degree in social work from Smith College in 1998. I have been a licensed social worker for 25 years. Following graduation I completed a post-graduate intensive clinical training internship at the women’s treatment program, part of Mclean Hospital.  Over the span of my social work career, I have evaluated people in emergency room settings, counseled students in a college counseling role, and worked with individuals and couples through their employee assistance program, doing short term goal oriented therapy.  I have helped people navigate both personal and professional challenges.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, pulling from different modalities like CBT and mindfulness. I hope to create a safe, nonjudgmental space in which to work together. My clinical areas of expertise include working with late adolescents and adults on a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, motherhood, body image, disordered eating, aging parents, workplace conflicts and relationship issues.
